Songs for the 21st Century is comprised of 9 instrumental piano pieces and is my attempt to musically interpret some of the more importantly Dark challenges of our time: societal/political/religious paranoia, the potential demise of our species, the current continuing environmental crises, folly and death. Furthermore, there is some light here as well: walks in peaceful meadows, inner composure in the face of adversity and freedom. All of these pieces have been composed as piano works in a neo-classical style and a few of them have some colourings of 20th Century avante-garde piano music. I hope that you will find something to enjoy here. I would like to note that I am currently working on scoring all of the piano pieces for this project and these will soon be available for sale as individual pieces or as an entire book of manuscripts.
