Unless my military history is mistaken, I remember hearing that, during the Crimean War in the 18th century, there was an awful massacre of troops as they were ordered to certain death by a charge against the enemy. The madness of the order to charge was clearly apparent as most, if not all, the charging troops lay dying on the battle field. This piece represents the madness and folly of war and is dedicated to any soldier who has had to experience its insanity first-hand...
